The Golden Edit — A Jewellery story with Zoe Mark Thresher

Jewellery has always been central to my work. Having run my own jewellery brand, I developed a strong understanding of the craft — from weight and finish to how a piece catches the light. That perspective shapes every shoot.

As a jewellery brand photographer in Brighton, I focus on more than just the product. I aim to capture the feeling behind a collection — the world it belongs to and the story behind its design.

Inspiration

This editorial was inspired by quiet luxury — warm neutrals, minimal styling, and soft natural light. The focus was on the small details that make fine jewellery special.

This is the kind of work I find most fulfilling — stripped back, intentional, and led by the jewellery.

The Location

We shot in a contemporary, light-filled coastal location house with warm clay walls and soft natural linen textures.

Late afternoon the most incredible golden light came flooding through the windows and bathed everything in that warm, honeyed glow that you simply cannot replicate.

The Styling

Zoe wore a fitted ivory two-piece with a clean neckline that let the pieces take centre stage. Neutral ivory tones against Zoe's warm olive skin and gold is a combination that feels both timeless and effortless

Hair & Makeup

Brighton-based MUA and hair stylist Katie Cullen brought glowy, luminous skin and polished natural hair to the shoot. That quality of makeup in a jewellery editorial is so important — it lifts the gold, softens and gives the whole edit a feeling of effortless warmth. Nothing overdone, nothing that pulled focus.

The Model

I've had the pleasure of working with Zoe Mark Thresher from MOT Models London on several occasions, and every single time she takes my breath away. There is a stillness and natural elegance to the way she holds herself that you simply cannot direct — she just has it. For a jewellery editorial that quality is everything. The way she carries a piece, the stillness in her hands, the angle of her jaw — Zoe brings all of it instinctively, and it elevates every single frame. Finding a model that has a quiet, natural confidence is such a gift, and Zoe does it in a way that is completely her own.

Jewellery Brand Photography Brighton

I bring a genuine understanding of the craft to every commercial photography project. As a Brighton based jewellery photographer, I work with independent designers and established labels to create imagery that goes beyond the product — building the visual world a brand belongs to.

Whether you need a full jewellery editorial, campaign content, or product photography, every shoot is shaped around your brand's identity and vision.
